As a photographer, I was both nervous and excited. The weather was quite dark throughout the day and just to make things more dramatic, it started raining too. Not ideal for me, but honestly, perfect for capturing some truly moody shots.

I was so caught up in the moment that I completely forgot to eat and went almost the entire day running on water alone. But at the end of the day it was so worth it. I’m incredibly happy with how the photos turned out, and I’m already eagerly looking forward to the next opportunity to be trackside again.

If there’s one thing I’d like to improve next time, it’s definitely upgrading to a longer lens as my 24-70mm just wasn’t ideal for a lot of situations, especially when I wanted those more distant, cinematic shots.

I also want to add that this day was only made possible thanks to PCFD letting me participate as Press media and I’m forever thankful for that!

Overall, it was an awesome first experience, one of those days that ignites the passion and pushes me to keep learning and growing. I can’t wait for what comes next!
